The reason why I took brutal honest is because it's a way to be upfront. If we are just genuine honest, usually we have the habit to not speak the truth, thus, it's not the aim to this. However, once we use self-deprecating, it's a way to change that brutal honest to genuine. So brutal honesty is just the first step to be upfront.
I think some honesty can be said as long as it doesn't sound insulting, that's why I like self-deprecating elements. Thanks for leaving me your thoughts!!
